Join Bob Pizzano and Linda Coviello, MNEC for a photo Meet-Up at the Stone Zoo on Wednesday June 24, 2027 from 9am-noon. The address is Stone Zoo - 129 Pond St. -Stoneham, MA 02180. We will meet in the zoo parking lot near the admission booth at 8:45am sharp.

Zoo photography can present its own unique challenges. Club member and zoo volunteer photographer Bob Pizzano will be on hand to direct us to the best positions and techniques to help us obtain good photos. Here are his recommendations-
Medium Telephotos such as 70-200 (or 70-300) or equivalent work well
Longer lenses are really only needed for the Snow Leopard or Wolves
Monopods can be useful but are not necessary and tripods are not recommended.

As a ‘Meet-Up’, this will be a very informal event…you are welcome to stay together as a group, or wander off on your own as you like. We will probably finish up by noon, and can opt to get together for lunch somewhere close by, restaurant – TBD- possibly JJ Grimsby’s. Let's get together, play with our cameras, and have some fun.

I ordered a pass from my local Library, and can accommodate 5 more people at a discounted admission price of 9-nine dollars. If more are attending, maybe another member can obtain passes from their Library.
