This presentation will inspire you to get those city shots of people, buildings and happenings. Street photography is one of the most interesting types of photography, but it can be challenging and often times overwhelming. In this presentation, learn techniques for overcoming these challenges and creating images that tell the story of everyday life.

Our speaker, Denise Silva comes to us from Montana where she just recently moved. She visited our club last year when she joined her partner Geff Bourke when he did his presentation on Black and White photography.
She is a photographer, teacher, writer and tour leader and has been the featured photographer in Photoshop User Magazine- ‘Who’s Who in the KelbyOne Community’ article. Additionally, she has been recognized as one of the Top 200 Women Photographers Who Inspire by Nature Photo Guides and has had multiple articles published in Extraordinary Vision -EV Magazine and is a featured artist in Breakthrough Photography’s Guide to Night Sky Photography. She is also a regular contributor to Fujifilm X website. Denise finds every aspect of photography rewarding. From in-camera composition to post-processing: photography is meditative, creative, and challenging. Her passion is to capture images, from landscapes to urban decay and to share her experiences and knowledge with fellow photographers.

She owns Road Runner Photography Tours and leads photography tours (both domestic and international). ‘Road Runner’ offers guided photography tours and adventures for beginner to advanced level photographers who are passionate about photography, enjoy travel, and prefer learning new techniques in the field.. They look forward to sharing their passion for photography with you and know that their tours will enhance your photography skills through experience and knowledge sharing in a supportive environment. There is no better place to learn and develop your skills than in the field. With their smaller group sizes, they are able to focus on their guests’ experience.

Denise will be doing a tour of five camera clubs over 10 days and will also be teaching a 4 hour workshop on Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Tips and Tricks on Saturday October 20th at the Norfolk Public Library in Norfolk, MA. This will take place prior to our presentation on October 21st. The cost is 42 dollars with PayPal or 40 dollars by check to GLPA. Registration is available on the GLPA workshops page and is limited to 35 attendees, first come first serve. Please sign up using the online registration link in the left side column.
