"Developing Your Abstract Eye"

In this presentation, Melissa and Charles will define what ‘abstract photography’ means. Then, drawing upon inspiration from various abstract artists, they will explore different types of non-representational imagery. Melissa and Charles will conclude with examples of subjects that lend themselves to making good abstract photos and provide some exercises to help you see with fresh eyes.

Charles Needle is a well known professional photographer who teaches workshops and seminars all over the world on abstract and floral photography. He has spoken at NECCC on numerous occasions and has presented at local camera clubs throughout New England. A couple of years ago he met Melissa Fraser on one of his workshops who was a member of Greater Lynn and they soon were married and then moved to Colorado. Melissa and Charles now teach together on abstract photography and Iphone photography. Melissa runs the Smartphone Group by Zoom from Colorado for GLPA. She has won numerous awards with her creative art via camera and smartphone.
